Job Description
-Comply with all reporting, accounting and audit requirements imposed by the Central Bank of Kuwait.
-Preparation of daily/monthly accounting entries according to Bank’s accounting policies.
-Assist in monthly accounting close processes.
-Assist to produce quarterly and annual Financial Statements.
-Submission of regulatory reports to Central bank of Kuwait.
-Ensure compliance to statutory requirements i.e. Commercial law, IFRS, Corporate Governance.
-Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
-Assist to manage General Ledgers control properly and ensure that all the accounts are substantiated and reconciled.
-Liaison with peers within and outside FFP&C
Skills
-Understanding of the banking industry
-Knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with Kuwait commercial law and Central Bank regulations.
-Excellent Excel and database skills, knowledge of reporting tools preferred.
-Excellent English skills; report writing and presentations skills, knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
-Good interpersonal skills &Good analytical skills
-Planning and problem solving skills
-Willingness to work under extra stress and put in the extra hours to meet tight reporting deadlines.
